props
These props are mostly standalone pieces that I didn’t incorporate into full environments for my personal projects. While a lot of my professional work has been more stylized, I like to challenge myself in my personal projects. For these, I went for a more realistic look, focusing on accurate dimensions and textures. I also taught myself Maya to model them because I wanted to learn the software. Most of these were made during my capstone project in college, and even though they're from a while ago, I’m still really proud of them. Moving forward, I plan to create more realistic props to keep practicing and improving my skills with realism.
Mini Cooper
I’m especially proud of this Mini Cooper because modeling hard surfaces was a big challenge for me at the time. A car, with all its fine details, was definitely tough—especially getting the body smooth enough that you don’t see any bumps or bad quads. Aligning everything just right was tricky, and figuring out the reference pictures was a bit of a puzzle too. I also really like the storytelling element I added with the mud—it gave the model some character. This project is definitely one I look back on fondly.
